mortifydTomorrow I'm going to try and get the batteries out of here to be tested, and Mum will pay for replacements if I need them so I can get it done before my chest surgery on the 2nd. Which is good, but means I have to pull the batteries out and haul them to the car, to the AutoZone, test them, then over to Costco to replace them if needed, then back to the boat and rehooking all the shit back up - that's a full day of spoons for me right there just thinking about it.
OTOH - it would mean lights again, and being able to test the bilge pump - and if it solves both issues then all is well. It's just a massive pain in the ass to move everything to get to the batteries.
I hate that I've had to ask Mum for so much money lately - for the trip in December and now more money this month for the boat - I really need to find a way to spend less if I can. Of course my bow line snapped yesterday and I replaced it with a spare piece, but eventually all the lines will need to be replaced as well, for more boat expenses. They never really end.
